Speaker: Rev. Dr. Bill Murry

Rev. Dr. Bill Murry became a Unitarian Universalist minister in 1977 after a career as a college chaplain, university professor and Baptist minister. He is minister emeritus at River Road UU Congregation in Bethesda, MD which he served for 17 years, having been the minister at the UU Church in Bloomington, IN for 3 years prior. He was also the President, Academic Dean and Professor of Ministry at Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago (1997-2004). Bill retired in 2004 and lives with his wife Barbara in Rockville, MD. They have three sons and four grandchildren.

Rev. Murry is the author of three books: A Faith for All Seasons: Liberal Religion and the Crises of Life (1990); Reason and Reverence: Religious Humanism for the 21st Century (2006); and Becoming More Fully Human: Religious Humanism as a Way of Life (2011). Also co-editor of book Humanist Voices in Unitarian Universalism (2016).
